Recommendation

That the Council

Receives the report Additional submissions to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw (R8173) and its attachment (A1807679); and

Accepts the late submission (13867) to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw; and

Accepts the additional submission (13904) to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw.

REPORT R8173

Additional submissions to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw

     

 

1.       Purpose of Report

1.1      To advise that additional submissions have been received and recommending that these submissions be accepted.

 

 

2.       Recommendation

That the Council

Receives the report Additional submissions to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw (R8173) and its attachment (A1807679); and

Accepts the late submission (13867) to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw; and

Accepts the additional submission (13904) to the Draft Freedom Camping Bylaw.

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.       Background

3.1      One submission (Mr J. L. McArthur, submission 13867) was received after the closing date for submissions and is attached.

3.2      A submission from Mr Bob Andrews, submission 13904, was misfiled although it was received at Council before the cut-off date. Mr Andrews’ submission is attached, as it has not been included with the other submissions being provided to Councillors (A1796105). Mr Andrews has asked to speak to his submission, his hearing time has been confirmed and is included on the draft hearings schedule. 

3.3      In order for these submissions to be included in the formal decision-making process, and for the person wishing to speak in support of their submission, it would be advisable for Council to pass the recommendations above.
