There were no updates to the Interests Register, and no interests with items on the agenda were declared.
Her Worship the Mayor R Reese subsequently identified an interest at Agenda Item 6 as a member of the marae committee.

The Chairperson welcomed new Group Manager Environmental Management, Dennis Bush-King, and introduced the report.
The Chairperson answered questions on the remaining funding in the housing reserve fund, ability to access the fund following recent weather events, and what engagement had been undertaken with the public and iwi trusts.
Her Worship the Mayor R Reese declared an interest as a member of the marae committee and took no part in the discussion or decision making.
The meeting adjourned at 2.05p.m. and resumed at 2.12p.m.
Members noted the Chairperson’s tenacity and diligence had delivered some great outcomes for the city and noted that the works undertaken by the Subcommittee had established a solid base for the future development of housing.

9. Progress Update on Implementation of the National Policy Statement on Urban Development
Manager Environmental Planning, Maxine Day, introduced the report and noted all actions except one had been delivered on time despite challenges with resourcing and the recent weather event. Ms Day advised MP Phil Twyford had offered to come to speak with the new Council on next steps in the process.
