The Chairperson took the report as read. She thanked the NTRLBU staff, Accountant, Andrew Bishop and supporting staff from each Council as well as the Committee Members for their commitment and dedication. She answered questions on the Emergency Funding on future proofing for landfills. Members acknowledged the Chairperson and achievements.

Accountant, Andrew Bishop, spoke to the Annual Report financial statements and answered questions on the carbon units used and the costs of carbon credits to date.

12. Nelson Tasman Regional Landfill Business Unit Draft Business Plan 2023/2024
General Manager Regional Services, Nathan Clarke, took his report as read.
Accountant, Andrew Bishop, answered questions on the Emergency fund for the financial year, and confirmed that the Emergency Fund did not reflect in the budget. Mr Bishop confirmed that there was a surplus of $119,000 in the budget.
