6. Chairperson's Report

The Chairperson, provided a verbal report and acknowledged the International Day of the Woman, noting the systemic challenges for women in the areas of housing and poverty, particularly when women find themselves staying in an abusive situation due no other housing options. She said it was a human right to have safe housing, security, peace and dignity and changes in law for healthy homes had gone some way but still had a long way to go. |
7. City Development Update

Programme Lead City Development, Alan Gray, provided a presentation on the City Centre Streets for People Programme.
Group Manager, Clare Barton, answered questions on alignment with other existing infrastructure projects, planning for initiatives to encourage people into town and a linear park which was a priority.
