7. City Centre Spatial Plan update

City Centre Development Programme Lead, Alan Gray, supported by contractor Paul Jennings, gave a presentation (A2622150) about the pre-engagement undertaken with community groups.
Attendance : Councillor K Fulton joined the meeting at 9.12a.m.

Team Leader City Development, Lisa Gibellini, presented the report. She noted officers were working closely with Kāinga Ora and proposed an additional recommendation clause be added to direct officers to work on a Memorandum of Understanding with Kāinga Ora.
It was further requested that consideration be given to link up non-regulatory with regulatory matters in regards to meeting climate change obligations, sustainability goals and reducing carbon emissions.
