Held in the Council Chamber, Civic House, 110 Trafalgar Street, Nelson

On Tuesday 29 March 2016, commencing at 10.03am

 

Present:              Her Worship the Mayor R Reese, Nelson City Councillors I Barker, R Copeland, K Fulton, M Lawrey, P Matheson (Deputy Mayor), B McGurk, G Noonan, T Skinner, and M Ward, His Worship the Mayor R Kempthorne (Chairperson), Tasman District Councillors M Boullir, B Dowler, B Greening, M Higgins, J Inglis, and Z Mirfin.

In Attendance:   Tasman District Chief Executive (L McKenzie), Nelson City Council Chief Executive (C Hadley), Group Manager Community Services (C Ward), Group Manager Corporate Services (N Harrison), and Administration Adviser (G Brown)

Apologies:           Nelson City Councillors E Davy and P Rainey, and Tasman District Councillors S Bryant, P Canton, B Ensor, T King and T Norriss.

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Joint Committee of Tasman District and Nelson City Councils, held on 3 November 2015, be confirmed as a true and correct record.

6.       Exclusion of the Public

His Worship Mayor Kempthorne explained that Paul Steere, Rob Evans, Simon Orr of Nelson Airport Limited; Matt McDonald and Bronwyn Monopoli of Port Nelson Limited; and Lucinda Blackley-Jimson and Olivia Hall of Tasman Bays Heritage Trust, would be in attendance for Item 4, 5 and 6 respectively of the Public Excluded agenda to answer questions and, accordingly, the following resolution was required to be passed:

THAT, in accordance with section 48(5) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, Paul Steere, Rob Evans, Simon Orr, Bronwyn Monopoli, Matthew McDonald, Olivia Hall and Lucinda Blackley-Jimson remain after the public has been excluded, for Items 4, 5 and 6 respectively of the Public Excluded agenda Six Monthly Presentations, as they have knowledge that will assist the Committee;

AND THAT, in accordance with section 48(6) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the knowledge that Paul Steere, Rob Evans, Simon Orr, Bronwyn Monopoli, Matthew McDonald, Olivia Hall and Lucinda Blackley-Jimson possess relates to the respective Council Controlled Trading Organisations.

THAT, in accordance with section 48(5) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, Matt Clarke remain after the public has been excluded, for Item 4 of the Public Excluded agenda Nelson Airport Limited Six Monthly Presentation, as he has knowledge that will assist the Committee;

AND THAT, in accordance with section 48(6) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the knowledge that Matt Clarke possesses relates to the respective Council Controlled Trading Organisations.
